Keep on soft rocking in the disco world

Turn it UP! It’s soft rock disco o’clock!

Sean Rowley’s latest soft rock disco radio show is floating around the ether ready for you to plug in and kick back and listen to. It’s here you know.

You don’t have to kick back, you could just have it on whilst you work be it at some wonderfully glamorous West End location, or in Margate cleaning up your children’s sick.

Either way, it’ll brighten up your day

Soft Rock Disco Radio Show

Hi smooth music fans, Sean Rowley here at your service

It sounds like a dream doesn’t it? A radio show that plays those perfect tracks from within the ocean of soft rock, with re-edits and original numbers to make your day swim along that little bit more marvellously.

Well guess what? It does exist! Sing Hosanas good friends, for Sean Rowley’s latest show for Ministry of Sound radio comes your way every Sunday from 8pm.

But what if I’m watching X Factor? we hear you cry. Fret thee not due to the miracle of the internet you can listen again and again and AGAIN if you so desire and get your dose of toe tapping, soft shoe shufflers (not sure if Sean would approve of this description, but it sounds ACE) whenever you please.

Oh Old Elton, can’t you come back?

We love Elton.

We love his brilliant songs. We love his crap wig. We love David Furnish. We love the fact he is an old Dad. We love the Red Piano. We love his spending habits.

But most of all we love this Elton:

And this one:

And this one:

And by HECK this one:

We miss those Eltons. They aren’t around any more since he knocked the old dress up on the head three years ago.

He’s still well turned out for his gigs of course, with the odd jazzy motif upon a sleeve, snazzy pair of specs etc, but there is a high proportion of this these days:

And frankly it’s just no comparison to this:

We love Elton. We feel we’ve made this clear. But can we have the old one back now please? Come on Elt, dig out them big shoes and that. We miss it.

Here you all are you big rabble.

Leis a go-go and lurid cocktails spilt on your espadrilles.

What larks!

Rocking all over the world (South east of England)

We’re all over the place this weekend, but naturally in a disco-dazzling way. Not rolling around on the pavement clutching cans of Kestrel and cheap fags. Although that does sound good.

Nope, we’ve got a gig marathon weekend lined up and we’d love you to come along a cheer us on. Here’s where we’ll be:

SATURDAY 2ND JULY

Trafalgar Square in that London

PRIDE

We’re proud to say we’re opening the Pride celebrations in London’s Trafalgar Square as hopefully the sun beams down on us and people get so overexcited they frolic in the fountains.

On stage from 2pm a power packed punch of pop featuring Hot Gusset, the DreamBears and Anna Greenwood doing the dancing and playing the records to make to get in that jeffing fountain. What larks!

BRIGHTON

Club Tropicana drinks are free…

Then later that day we’re off on the train to the seaside of Brighton for our Club Tropicana Beach Party at Concorde 2. That’s right we’re bringing the outside inside and not via dog poo on our shoes. No no, this is pure sunshine indoors with an all out holiday knees up on the sea shore.

Party starts at 10.30pm giving you all day to work on that impressive tan to look super fly in your cozzie of choice. Hooray!

Holding court on the Band Stand Stage, Guilty Pleasures will be there all day in full force alongside the delights of Bikini Beach Band, Levi Roots and the Cuban Brothers. Hot Gusset will be getting you all up and on your feet no doubt, helping shift some of the cake weight we’ll have piled on in the afternoon.

Elsewhere you can find Athelete, the Bees, Lily Allen’s Lucy in Disguise pop-up shop, Super top chefs aplenty cooking up a storm and Peppa Pig! Well what more could one ever wish for?

It all kicks off from 11am. Read more about Big Feastival here and get yourself a ticket over here.
